Further tests of the Fulmar prototype were carried out in the Baggen Fjord outside of Saltsjöbaden of 7 September. King Carl XVI Gustaf and Prince Carl Philip were present at some of these tests and the Prince, who has trained as a combat vessel driver with the Amfibietrupper, himself took over the controls. The results of the tests were fully satisfactory.

The King rides the Fulmar
King Carl XVI Gustaf accompanied the Fulmar on one of its test drives. Prince Carl Philip was also present, and he took the controls.

New video
A new video from the testing on 30 August. The test was a demonstration for IF-design, one of Stormfågeln’s collaborators. The tests included operation in heavy seas, and the prototype dealt with these conditions admirably. Another aspect of the tests was measurement of the fuel consumption, and this led to the discovery and correction of a bug in the system.

Merger plans
The parent company, which owns 100% of the shares of the subsidiary, believes that the current situation with two companies and two administrations is inefficient and difficult. The parent company therefore wishes the subsidiary to be integrated with the parent company through merger.
